With more than 23 years' experience in the digital marketing industry, she has built a career defined by strategic thinking, constant innovation and a proven track record of delivering impactful results. As Managing Director, she takes pride in the agencies vision to drive meaningful client growth through focused strategy, effective execution and a commitment to evolution in a fast-moving landscape.
Outside of work, as a keen runner, hiker and enthusiastic gardener, she makes the most of the outdoors at every opportunity!
Craig Broadbent
Operations Director
Craig has over 25 years’ experience in digital and joined Fusion as their first SEO practitioner in 2007, spearheading the growth of this channel and team. As Operations Director he wears many hats; continuing his support of the SEO team, contributing to the strategic direction, growth and innovation of the business, and delivering efficiencies across the business.
Born and raised in Teesside, he is a long-suffering Middlesbrough FC season ticket holder, as well as an obsessive record collector and keen traveller and explorer.
Pete Markey
Growth Director
Pete is an award-winning marketer who has spearheaded growth at a number of leading household brands, including Boots, TSB, Aviva and the Post Office.
At Boots, he delivered 17 consecutive quarters of growth, record brand health, and over 3 million new Advantage Card customers. He’s now working as Fusion’s Growth Director, working closely with existing and new clients to help them achieve their business goals.
Pete has won five “Marketer of the Year” awards and three diversity ally awards. He is a Fellow of the Marketing Society, the Marketing Academy and the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He also holds an Honorary Doctorate in Business for his contribution to business and DE&I, and mentors emerging talent through The Marketing Academy, The Marketing Society, and the School of Marketing.
In his spare time, Pete performs improvised comedy. In 2025, he learned musical improv and improv hip hop.
Jen Mottram
Paid Media Director
Jen Mottram is Paid Media Director at Fusion, with extensive experience helping brands drive growth through insight‑led, performance‑focused digital marketing strategies. She has worked with a wide range of ambitious businesses across PPC and paid media, combining commercial rigour with a deep understanding of user behaviour and platform innovation.
At Fusion, Jen has been instrumental in building and evolving the agency’s paid media playbook, shaping strategy and how activity is tested and optimised. She champions a test‑and‑learn approach, using structured experimentation to drive efficiency, unlock incremental growth, and ensure paid media activity continually improves against clear business objectives. Jen works closely with both clients and internal teams to turn data into clear, actionable decisions that deliver sustainable growth.
Outside of work, Jen is a keen crafter with a particular love for textile projects, and an enthusiastic bookworm who’s rarely without her next read lined up.
Joshua Carter
Head of SEO
Joshua brings over 10 years of experience in organic search to his role as Head of SEO, where he leads the organic team and oversees all SEO activity across the business. Having worked across the full spectrum of the discipline, from technical SEO and site migrations to content, strategy, and GEO, he takes a focused, considered approach and places great importance on ensuring clients understand what is being done and the thinking behind it.
Outside of work, Josh is a keen fell runner who spends as much time as possible outdoors, happiest under the wide skies of the South Pennine moors.
